लालडबा, खटारा अशी हेटाळणी केल्या जाणाऱ्या एसटी महामंडळाने आता नव्या युगाचा रस्ता धरला आहे. आरामदायी किंगलाँग, व्होल्व्हो बस ताफ्यात दाखल केल्यानंतर आता एसटीने कोणत्याही गावात जाण्यासाठी इंटरनेटवर घरबसल्या तिकीट देण्याची व्यवस्था केली आहे. येत्या तीन महिन्यांत ही योजना सुरू होणार असून त्यामुळे लांबवरचा एसटी डेपो गाठून रांग लावण्याची कसरत बंद होणार आहे.  एसटीने इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स रिझव्हेर्शन सुरू करून प्रवाशांचा वेळ वाचावा यासाठी नव्या योजना आणल्या. आता ई तिकिटींग सुरू होत आहे. येत्या तीन महिन्यांत ही योजना कार्यान्वित होईल, असे महांडळाचे व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक ओ. पी. गुप्ता म्हणाले. बीओटी तत्त्वावर 'ट्रायमॅक्स इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर लिमिटेड 'ही संपूर्ण नवी सिस्टीम तयार करीत आहे. प्रत्येक तिकिटामागे या कंपनीला २१ पैसे मिळतील.  असे होणार बूकिंग  एसटीच्या (www.msrtc.gov.in) या साइटवर जाऊन कोणत्याही शहरातून कोणत्याही शहरातील डेपोत जाण्यासाठी एसटीचे बूकिंग करता येईल. तिकीट आरक्षित केल्यावर क्रेडिट कार्डमार्फत तिकिटाचे पैसे अदा करायचे. तिकीट आरक्षित झाल्यावर 'प्रिंट आऊट' काढायची आणि प्रवासात कंडक्टरला हेच तिकीट दाखवायचे.  .........  इलेक्ट्रॉनिक तिकिटिंग  सध्या मुंबई सेंट्रल ते स्वारगेट, सातारा, अलिबाग, भिवंडी मार्गावर 'इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स तिकिट इश्युइंग मशिन'मार्फत तिकीट देण्यास सुरुवात झाली आहे. कंडक्टर या मशिनद्वारे तिकीट देतो. यामुळे कंडक्टरचा वेळ वाचतो. सध्या तिकीट देण्यासाठी कंडक्टरला दीड तास लागतो. पण या मशिनमुळे पंधरा मिनिटांत काम होते. दोन रुपयांपासून दहा, वीस रुपयांच्या वेगवेगळ्या तिकिटांऐवजी एकच तिकीट दिले जाते. ट्रायमॅक्स कंपनीला एका तिकिटामागे २१ पैसे मिळतात. मुंबई डिव्हिजननंतर सर्व २४७ डेपोतील कंडक्टरना ही मशिन दिली जातील. एक मशिनची किंमत सुमारे दहा हजार रुपये असून ट्रायमॅक्स कंपनी यासाठी ८० ते ९० कोटी रुपये गुंतवणार
